Brothers and Sisters,
Christ is Risen!
Yes, our weekly newsletter has a new look. We’re hoping to give you an even more comprehensive look at what’s going on in our community, so, if you have any suggestions for The Happy Parish, please let us know.
One other newsletter change that we’re making is our deadline for submissions: if you have news or announcements that you would like to see in the newsletter, those need to be sent to Father Aidan by Wednesday. Anything received after Wednesday will be included in the next edition of The Happy Parish.

Coming Up
The Pascha Book Study has started, and it will run from Wednesday, April 15-Wednesday, May 13. Dr Benedict H. will lead the discussion about Paul Kingsnorth's popular book Against the Machine. The group will be in-person only; it will meet in the parish house at 7pm.
The Myrrhbearers invite everyone to join them for Fellowship Hour at the Cemetery down the street on the Sunday of the Myrrhbearers - April 26. We will proclaim the joyful message of Christ's Resurrection to the departed there as we pray for them and sing "Christ is Risen." Please BYOC (BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR), and if you have shade tents to contribute, those would be helpful as well. The Fellowship Hour team will provide the food and the Myrrhbearers will serve coffee and cold drinks as well.
Working on the Building
If you want us to get into that new temple as soon as possible, there are three things you can do:
Join us in offering The Akathist for a New Temple each week. Copies are available in the bookstore and online; a recording is available on Discord, and there is a group that meets on Discord each Friday at noon to offer the service.
Join us for one of the Wednesday Morning Divine Liturgies. Those will resume at 6am on Wednesday, April 22, and, at the conclusion of each of those Liturgies, you will have the opportunity to reverence our relic of St Eanswythe of Folkestone, the Patroness of our Building Program.
Take out a (totally free) subscription to our Substack, Come See Something Beautiful, and forward each of the three weekly posts to absolutely everyone you know.
Our Moment of Grace and Courtesy
If you wish to receive communion during the Divine Liturgy, please remember that you must arrive no later than the gospel reading. Children who arrive late may come forward and receive the gifts; adults who arrive later than the gospel lesson must wait until the following week.
