Brothers and Sisters,
Christ is Risen!
This coming weekend, Benedict and Talia Sheehan will be leading a workshop for our parish musicians. Benedict is the composer of our new liturgy music; he will be conducting the choir on Sunday morning, so come here those amazing musicians at their amazing best. Also, if you have questions about the new music, Benedict will be talking about that and all things musical and liturgical in the Parish House during Fellowship Hour.

Finance Update
As of the end of March we have received contributions to our General Fund of $109,564 which equals 23% of our $485,000 operating budget for 2026. Being that we are 25% of our way through 2026 at the end of March, this places us slightly behind our desired pace of $40,417 per month, or $121,251. These general funds are what we use to carry on our daily operations so let’s do our best to stay current on our continued contributions. Thanks to the mercy of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and thank you for your generosity.
Coming Up
The Pascha Book Study has started, and it will run through Wednesday, May 13. Dr Benedict H. will lead the discussion about Paul Kingsnorth's popular book Against the Machine. The group will be in-person only; it will meet in the parish house at 7pm.
On Thursday, May 21, we will celebrate The Feast of the Ascension. On Wednesday, May 20, we will offer Great Vespers at 7pm, and, on Thursday morning, we will serve Orthros at 4am and Divine Liturgy at 6am. Please join us as we celebrate the enthronement of our Lord and Master in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Working on the Building
If you want us to get into that new temple as soon as possible, there are four things you can do this week:
Join us in offering The Akathist for a New Temple each week. Copies are available in the bookstore and online; a recording is available on Discord, and there is a group that meets on Discord each Friday at noon to offer the service.
Join us for one of the 6am Wednesday Morning Divine Liturgies. At the conclusion of each of those Liturgies, you will have the opportunity to reverence our relic of St Eanswythe of Folkestone, the Patroness of our Building Program.
Check to make sure that you’re current on your Three Year Commitment to our Building Program. If you have not make a commitment to our Temple Fund, please check with our Finance Guy, Ray W.; he’ll get you set up.
Take out a (totally free) subscription to our Substack, Come See Something Beautiful, and forward each of the three weekly posts to absolutely everyone you know.
Our Moment of Grace and Courtesy
While we want our children to be able to be children while they are at the parish, there are also important boundaries we need to observe. For example, just as toddlers are not allowed to climb on the furniture at home—for their own safety and for the sake of the furniture—we should not allow them to do that when we are at the parish. This is especially true of the furniture in the nave—the chanter’s stand, the music director’s platform, the bier, the offering table are all items that have been donated to our community and dedicated to the Most Holy Trinity, so we need to find ways to redirect our crawlers and climbers when they are attracted to those inviting pieces.
