Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings in the Name of the Lord.
Have you been praying for a local, quality Orthodox school for your children to attend? Have you looked into how to start one, but didn’t know where to start? This coming Saturday, July 9th, a team from the Saint Constantine School in Houston (an Orthodox school with a classical curriculum), will be coming to Saint John the Forerunner to explain their established process that could be used to start a classical, Orthodox school in our area. If you would like more information about this project, get in touch with Julie Chien and check out the St. Constantine Flyer here.

WHAT’S NEXT?
St Eanswythe of Folkstone knows, so does St John the Forerunner, the Most Holy Theotokos (of course) knows, and, on Wednesday, August 31, we will start working with them to find out WHAT’S NEXT.
OUR MOMENT OF GRACE AND COURTESY
When you approach the chalice to receive the holy gifts, please get as close to the priest or deacon as you can (you may have to help your children with this). The cloth should be well under your chin, and the priest or deacon should not have to extend their arm in order to place the gifts in your mouth; this will help prevent the gifts from being spilled.
THINGS THAT MAKE PRIESTS HAPPY
Blessing Nathan and Sarah B. on their 16 th anniversary; watching Ethan and Sophia Y. order a
pizza for their two week anniversary (congratulations, guys!); celebrating the Feast of Sts Peter & Paul; learning that Connor and Collin Miller have a climbing wall in their house (that makes two in the parish—Issac and Max C. have one in their home); participating in the longest linked parish council ever (Elena Cabeza de Vaca called in from Ecuador); checking out a photo of Ed (“Big Bass”) C.’s latest catch; reading a new Bulgakov book; listening to the rain.
