Brothers and Sisters,
Happy Feast!
This coming Saturday, June 18, Jerry Juliano will be ordained to the Holy Diaconate at St. George Cathedral in Wichita, Kansas (wear the red converses, Jerry!). That means when Jerry returns home, he will be Father Deacon Gerasimos and Jennifer will be Shamassy Irene. The Julianos will be back at St. John’s on Sunday, June 19, where Father Deacon Gerasimos will serve his first Divine Liturgy. Please keep the Julianos in your prayers and, if you can’t make it to Wichita, please be sure and join us on the 19th as we proclaim, He is Worthy! Axios!
This week, Father Aidan will be at the Parish Life Conference from Wednesday, June 15 to Saturday, June 18. Father Andrew and Father Deacon Michael will be at the conference on Wednesday and Thursday. If you need a clergyman, don’t hesitate to contact them, but please keep their traveling schedule in mind.

St. Constantine school presentation
Have you been praying for a local, quality Orthodox school for your children to attend? Have you looked into how to start one, but didn't know where to start? Save the date! On Saturday, July 9th, a team from the Saint Constantine School in Houston (an Orthodox school with a classical curriculum) will be coming to Saint John the Forerunner church to explain their established process that could be used to start a classical, Orthodox school in our area. If you would like more information about this project, get in touch with Julie Chien. See the St. Constantine Flyer here.
WHAT’S NEXT?
St Eanswythe of Folkstone knows, so does St John the Forerunner, and you’d better believe the Most Holy Theotokos knows….
OUR MOMENT OF GRACE AND COURTESY
On Saturday evening, we offer the Mystery of Holy Confession. While folks are waiting to participate in the mystery, we play a recording of the Pre-Communion Prayers in the narthex. So, if you wish to visit with friends or introduce yourself to visitors during this time, please do so out on the porch. This will allow the people who are going to make their confession to prepare properly.
THINGS THAT MAKE PRIESTS HAPPY
Celebrating the Great Feast of Pentecost; learning, from Cameron C, that there is a game called Llama Land; reminding Father Deacon Michael not to forget his jibby; offering the services for Columba of Iona; talking about the power grid with Gabe M/, Vegas with Rob T. organic chemistry with Matt G., and bees with Stephen G.; thinking that Wesley S. is looking kinda sorta Kurt Cobainish; reminding Father Deacon Michael not to forget his jibby; enjoying the flowers that Donna B. and Olga F. brought to the services; falling asleep to the song of a mockingbird.
An unworthy priest,
Aidan
