Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings in the Name of the Lord.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our Annual Community Meeting such a success. Thanks, especially, to Michael Cotton, Elena Cabeza de Vaca, Sandi Andrews, and Jerry Juliano for their willingness to run for the parish council. Our parish elected Jerry and Elena to serve on the council, and Father Aidan appointed Arun Jacob to the council, so please express your gratitude to each these folks for faithfulness and for their service.

There is no fasting during the first week of The Triodion (Wha-Hoo!)
Daily Services

Membership Update
This past Sunday, we made eight people catechumens. Please be sure and introduce yourself to all these folks and let them know that you will be praying for them as the prepare to be received into the Church.
Coming Up
Great Lent begins on Monday, March 7! It will be here before we know it, so let’s make sure and use this upcoming time of preparation wisely: let’s decide which weekday services we will attend; let’s go ahead and figure out when we will make our confession; let’s check to make sure we are up to date on our financial commitment to the parish; let’s stop by the library or Christ the Lightgiver Bookstore and pick up a book for some spiritual reading; let’s make our fasting plans (and get a blessing for any exceptions we need to make in the fasting discipline), and let’s be on the look-out for ways in which we can help and support our brothers and sisters in the parish.
The first Saturday of Souls for 2022 will be on Saturday, February 26. Orthros will be served at 6am; Divine Liturgy at 8am. Immediately after the liturgy, the St. Joanna Myrrhbearers will be hosting fellow parishioner and attorney, David Brown, to present information on end of life legal documents. The bookstore will have bound copies of these documents on hand, so this is a wonderful opportunity to start this important process, which not only shows the acknowledgment of our own deaths, but provides clearly defined directives and wishes for our loved ones. Please plan on participating in David's presentation. Coffee and breakfast snacks will be provided.
Camp St Raphael 2022 Camper Applications are available online at https://www.campstraphael.org at Noon on February 1st. Remember spots are reserved on a first come first serve basis, so don’t delay. Session One is June 26th through July 2nd, and Session Two is July 3rd through 9th. This year CSR will be at new location in Kingston, Oklahoma. Scholarships are available, so if you need assistance in order to send your child to camp, please speak with Father Aidan or Father Andrew.
The Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America’s Parish Life Conference will be hosted by St George Cathedral in Wichita, Kansas, from June 15th through 18th. Hotel reservations may be made at Reservations: Hyatt Regency https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/WICRW/G-GEC.
Our Moment of Grace and Courtesy
We are always grateful for the items that people donate to our community. However, when you indicate that an item has been donated as a gift, you cannot later change your mind and ask to be reimbursed for the item. So please be clear from the outset as to whether the item in question is a gift or whether you will want to be reimbursed; that will help us maintain the integrity of our book-keeping system and the consistency of our financial policies.
