“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…for He has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of His will…according to His purpose which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.”
That’s a quotation from the opening chapter of St Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians. That quotation describes the plan that the Most Holy Trinity has for this world– “to unite all things” in Christ Jesus. And that also sums up the mission of our parish community. When we join together in worship, when we get together for fellowship, when we work together to learn more about the Faith, when we act together in mission, we are bringing together all things, “things in heaven and things on earth”, in union with Christ Jesus.
